Temple Grandin is an American professor of animal science at Colorado State University. She was born on August 29, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was diagnosed with autism as a child and went on to pursue work in psychology and animal science. She didn't speak until she was four and only had two really good friends in her life which were her professor, Professor Clarkson and her friend that really understood her and which was blind, Alice. Grandin never had a boyfriend or was not in a relationship because she hated and could not stand the loudness of people and how they made fun of her. She never had children because she didn't seem to bond and have a love side to her.
She has many honorary degrees that she has earned in the past years. whenever she saw a door, she always had stuck on her mind that through that door is a new opportunity, she would say that because her professor told her that because she was really scared of doors. When she would get really frustrated or scared, she used her "squeeze machine" which she built that was compared to calm down cows. She is famous for many books and the design she used on the cow's slaughter house. She is a writer and wrote in newspapers about herd and also wrote spectacular little books for everyone to read. She invented a way for cows to stay calm and not to think they were gonna get slaughtered. She is working at Colorado State University as a science professor.
When i see an obstacle in front of me, i never give up and make sure if i start that obstacle i finish it right. I allow myself to learn from those experiences by congratulating myself and feeling proud i finished that obstacle and not turning back. Just like Temple, she saw a door and every time she went through a door she said it was a new opportunity and she never turned back on that opportunity.
